Description

The IS230TNAIH4C is a printed circuit board manufactured by the General Electric company as a component for their Mark VI or their Mark VIe systems.Both of these systems are designed to manage heavy-duty gas or steam turbines, or for use as a platform for integration of power island and balance of plant controls. The Mark VI is a centralized control platform with a Central Control Module connected to termination boards, while the Mark VIe is a DCS” or distributed control system with nodal control architecture under centralized management. The IS230TNAIH4C functions as an Analog I/O card with DIN-rail mounting.The board has three DC-37 pin connectors with latching fasteners (JT1/JS1/JR1) that have three IS220PDIA packs mounted to them.The Discrete Input Packs (PDIA) provide the electrical interface between the discrete input terminal board and one or two I/O Ethernet networks.Each pack is designed with a processor board and can accept three different voltage levels. Diagnostics for each pack occur through indicator LEDs located at the top of each unit.These packs can be replaced without the operator having to manually reconfigure each module, as the reconfiguration file is automatically downloaded from the controller unless the Auto-reconfiguration feature has been disabled. The IS230TNAIH4C is built with two terminal strips located on one long board edge. The opposing long edge has the previously mentioned DC-37 pin connectors. Between these components, the board is populated with various diodes, capacitors, and resistors.The board also has a line of twenty-five metal oxide varistors. MOVs protect sensitive circuits from overvoltage conditions. The board is factory drilled at all four corners and has two oval cutouts located one per each short board edge.These holes allow for mounting to the DIN rail.
