Description
The IS230TCISH9C is printed circuit board component manufactured by GE for use within the Mark VI or the Mark VIe system.Both platforms were created by GE to manage heavy-duty steam and gas turbines and to manage other types of applications. The Mark VI is built with a Central Control Module that manages the majority of the protection, control, and monitoring needed for the system.The Mark VIe is a Distributed Control System (DCS) with various autonomous controllers that are distributed throughout the system controlled by central supervision. Both of these systems use software created specifically to integrate with their hardware. TheIS230TCISH9C is a Din-Rail I/O terminal board module. The board has three vertical pin connectors located in a line on one long edge of the board.These 37-pin connectors are used for cables or for plug-in packs. The other side of the board is populated by two terminal boards that have been placed side-by-side on the board.These are attached to the board by two screws each. The terminal board is used for wired inputs. Typically, inputs use #18 AWG wires. The board also has two plug connectors. TheIS230TCISH9C is populated by several metal oxide varistors, as well as integrated circuits, capacitors, and resistors.The board is drilled in several locations to allow for mounting options. Two of these drill holes are chassis grounding screws for SCOM.This connection should be as short as possible. TheIS230TCISH9C is connected via screws to a metal frame that surrounds the board on all four edges and extends past the front edge.This frame allows the board to be DIN-rail mounted.
