Description

The IS215UCVFH2A is a board component created for the Mark VI system.The Mark VI is part of the Speedtronic line of gas/steam turbine management that was created and released by General Electric between 1969 and the late 1990s. The IS215UCVFH2A is a UCV Controller.These components are single or double-slot board computers (SBC) that operate the turbine application code.The IS215UCVFH2A is a double-slot board. It mounts in the Control Module VME rack and communicates via the VME bus to I/O boards.This controller is loaded with software that is specific to the turbine application (gas, steam, balance of plant products, or land-marine aeroderivatives.)This is one of five major controller versions. The IS215UCVFH2A uses an 850 MHz Intel Pentium III processor. This has 32 MB of DRAM and either 16 of 128 MB of flash memory. The IS215UCVFH2A has a front faceplate with many connectors and components. From top to bottom, this includes: Ethernet 1 port.This is labeled LAN 1.”The port is designed for UDH (Unit Data Highway) communication.The port has two LEDs. The yellow LED is connected to 10BaseT speed and the green LED is connected to 100BaseTX.The LEDs will blink when the links are active and will be solid when they are inactive. Ethernet 2 port.This is labeled LAN 2.”The port is designed for expansion I/O communication.This port also has yellow and green LEDs. Status LEDs.There are four LEDs placed side-by-side. COM1 and COM2.These ports are for initial controller setup and serial communication. USB port Keyboard/mouse port SVGA monitor port Mezzanine card opening.Jumpers need to be properly set to use this opening. The IS215UCVFH2A board is populated by multiple connectors beside those located in the front faceplate.This includes connectors for the processor chip and for other chips. There are also two backplanes located on the back edge of the board.The board also has terminal connections, inductor coils, high voltage electrolytic capacitors, resistors, an auxiliary board with integrated circuits, and jumpers and test points.
