Description
The IS215ISBBH2A is a splinter communication switch from General Electric. The IS215ISBBH2A is featured in the Mark VI Speedtronic line. The IS215ISBBH2A is a gray box that has two ethernet cable ports on one end and one ethernet ports on the other end. The IS215ISBBH2A does have a green plastic adapter next to the single ethernet port. On the front face of the IS215ISBBH2A is a single light that is labeled Receiver Active. On the back of the IS215ISBBH2A, it labels each ethernet port with its purpose. The ethernet port next to the green adapter is labeled Full Duplex (P1). On the opposite end, they are labeled Transmit Out (P2), Receive In (P3). The back also has a small chart that reads LED Diagnostic. If the Receiver Active light is on, then it means that the upstream drop is transmitting, and the cable is OK. If the Receiver Active light is off, then it means there is an upstream cable problem, or the upstream drop is not transmitting. The IS215ISBBH2A is ventilated on all sides to allow the components inside to cool off by letting heat to come out and cool fresh air to go in. The IS215ISBBH2A slips onto your system and locks into place. General Electric has multiple instruction manuals as well as data sheets that will go into detail about each part of the Speedtronic Mark VI system and the system as a complete unit.
