Description

The IS200EXIBG1A is a component for the GE Mark VI series.This series is part of the Speedtronic line of steam and gas turbine management systems that started with the commercial release of the Mark I series in 1969. The IS200EXIBG1A is an Exciter Bridge Interface Board.This board provides most interface functions between the EXIC Exciter Control Interface Board and the Innovation Series Medium Voltage SP Drive's exciter bridge.This board may be used in both the 3300 V and the 6600 V versions of the drive. The IS200EXIBG1A is built with multiple stab-on connectors.Discrete wired ac and dc inputs are connected to these to create voltage feedbacks.Current feedback runs to this board via the J2 connector, generated by a dc current shunt connected with the exciter bridge's DC output terminal.The IS200EXIBG1A also provides MOV fuse loss detection. The MOVs are located in the SCR bridge; their signals are sent to the IS200EXIBG1A through vertical stab connectors. The IS200EXIBG1A is built with nine LEDs.These are used to visually indicate SCR gate pulses, power supply and isolated power supply status, and MOV fuse loss. The board has 35 TP test points used for signal access to connector J1 I/O signals and for diagnostic purposes. There are twelve more TP test points used to access power supply signals.The board has sixteen heat sinks, eleven high-voltage electrolytic capacitors as well as polyester vinyl capacitors, two induction coils, six transformers, and multiple resistor network arrays.Resistors tend to be made of metal film, but carbon composite resistors are also used. The IS200EXIBG1A should be handled at all times as a static sensitive board. Please follow manufacturer guidelines as written in manuals or data sheets.
