Description

The IS200EGPAG1A is a GE component made for the Mark VI series from the Speedtronic series of gas/steam turbine management.The Speedtronic series has progressed through several iterations as technology allowed General Electric to improve this line.What began with the Mark I, which used simple circuitry by today's standards has now become the multi-module Mark VI with its triple redundant backups on critical controls and protection parameters.The MKVI is built with a Windows-based PC operator interface that allows the user to access all analog and digital data from a single location. The IS200EGPAG1A functions as an Exciter Gate Pulse Amplifier Board.This board interfaces with control to the power bridge. This board takes six gate commands coming from the ESEL board and uses them to control the gate firing of up to six SCRS on the bridge.The IS200EGPAG1A is also the interface for temperature monitoring, bridge airflow, and current conduction feedback. The IS200EGPAG1A is built with a line of light emitting diodes placed on its front board edge.These LEDs are used to give a visual indication of currents in the bridge, of output firing, bridge temperature, cooling fan rotation, and alarm or fault conditions.Three four-position plugs are located next to the LEDs. The IS200EGPAG1A is built with six transformers in a line, thirteen heat sinks, two other transformers, five jumpers, a coil inductor, thirteen high-voltage electrolytic capacitors, and two CPU sockets.The board has multiple two-position plugs as well as other plugs. There is a single vertical pin connector on the board. The board uses a variety of integrated circuits, capacitors of various material, and resistors of metal film and other material. Most components are marked with reference designators.
