GENERAL ELECTRIC GAIN PROGRAMMING PRINTEED CIRCUIT BOARD DS3800
GE manufactured the DS3800NGPA as a gain programming card for the Mark IV system. Mark IV was created for gas/steam turbine control management. It can keep the turbine systems operating within safe parameters and also automate some procedures like start-up.
This smaller auxiliary board connects via 29 PCB pin connectors positioned on DS3800NGPA in two rows toward the right side. It is supported by four nylon pins positioned to match up with the corners of DS3800DGPA. When this auxiliary board is connected, it gives DS3800NGPA access to six potentiometers and several snap-in PCB screw mounts.
The DS3800NGPA has been drilled at the factory for mounting options. It is alignment marked. It has two extraction clips installed, both to the right. The clips allow technicians the option of using lever action to help extract the board from areas with little space. Secondarily, they give technicians an optional handle to grasp the PCB by.
The DS3800NGPA has been built with seven LEDs, seventeen test points, one potentiometer, five transistors (including a Motorola bipolar power transistor,) and many integrated circuits.These include LM747CJ and LM747CN, which are both dual operational amplifiers. These amplifiers share a common bias network and power supply leads. No frequency compensation is required.
The DS3800NGPA has been built with various diodes, capacitors, and resistors. All components are marked. Resistors tend to be made of ceramic covered metal film.
