Description
The GE Gas Turbine Board DS3800DGTA is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features 1 hole in each corner. The board can be secured with screws into a location in the drive. The GE Gas Turbine Board DS3800DGTA also is populated with 1 20-pin ribbon cable attached to the board. The board is populated with 5 trimmer resistors and 6 wire terminals. The GE Gas Turbine Board DS3800DGTA is also populated with test points.
The 6 wire terminal on the GE Gas Turbine Board DS3800DGTA can be connected with wire jumpers. The wire jumpers are short strands of insulated wire with bare ends. The wires are wrapped around the terminals and secured with the screws. Consider that if you install multiple jumper wires, it is best practice to use short strands of wire. Longer strands might interfere with the free flow of air in the drive. The drive relies on air to flow into the drive through the air vents at the bottom of the drive. The air moves the hot air out of the drive throughthe air vents at the top. If the wires disrupt the air flow, the hot air might build up inside the drive.
This can lead to an overheat trip condition. The condition causes the drive to automatically shut down. The overheat condition protects the components from heat damage. It also prevents a fire which might start from the overheat condition. Before you restart the drive resolve any issues that causes the drive to overheat.

Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
