Description
The DS3800DFXD1B1B is part of Speedtronics Mark IV series produced by GE. This Board consists of twenty-four (24) blue-colored diodes. There are twenty-four (24) glass diodes with black and orange coloration. There are ten (10) black half circles scattered along the board. The board has several yellowish diodes. The circuit board has nearly one-hundred separate resistors. Every resistor has varying power levels. There is a combination of EPROM and EEPROM's*. There are five (5) light yellow capacitors of varying sizes. There are two male ports with a sky-blue plastic cover around each port. The circuit board also has a female harness on the end of a ribbon harness to connect to other boards. There are a series of metal prongs. They are called Jumpers. The plastic sleeve redirects the current based on where it is placed between the pairs of prongs. The board also has an orange and black covered battery. Each of the many components is labeled with a corresponding letter and number combination. The part number (DS3800DFXD1B1B) is printed on the board as well. Each corner of the board has a circular opening to connect to another larger board.
The regulator boards function is to keep the power source within an acceptable range, despite any voltage increase or unexpected voltage spikes.
