Description

The DS3800DFPF is part of the Speedtronics Mark IV series by General Electric (GE). The DS3800DFPF has four Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory or EEPROM for short. Each EEPROM comes already programmed with what the circuit board is required to do and can't be changed. Each diode, resistor, EEPROM etc. on the board has a forest green letter and number combination as a label. The board also is labeled DS3800DFPF in a forest green color as well. Along with U.S.A. and General Electrics seal.

The DS3800DFPF is meant to control other sections of the machine and features two wiring harnesses to connect to different sections. The lower harness has a smaller connection port while the upper harness is a bit larger. There are also eight gold towers with silver dots on either side which is where another board can connect to the DS3800DFPF. In order for the board to operate it uses a series of diodes, capacitors, and resistors. There are two reddish-brown capacitors. They are rectangular in shape. There are also two strip capacitors that are connected at ten points. These capacitors are yellow in color. The DS3800DFPF also has several diodes ranging in size. The smaller diodes are grey or teal in color, while the larges diodes are silver or black. There are also a dozen banded resistors. These resistors hold and transport energy. Each resistor, however, has a limit on how much it can hold which can be identified by the colored stripes on each resistor.
