The GE Auxiliary Drive Interface Control Board DS3800DDIB1C1C features 8 trimmer resistors and 2 jumpers. The GE Auxiliary Drive Interface Control Board DS3800DDIB1C1C also is populated with 9 test points and 12 resistors.

Before the board can be installed in the drive, it must be configured and there are several opportunities available for the installer to perform that function. One is to set the jumpers as needed for operation of the board. A requirement for setting the jumpers is to understand what functional areas the jumpers configure and how moving the jumpers changes the processing the board performs. To do that requires access to the installation instructions that are packaged with the board when it is delivered from the factory. The instructions refer to the jumpers using the unique ID assigned to each jumpers. The ID of one jumper is JP1 and the other jumper is assigned JP2.

The jumpers have a default position which is how the jumpers are set when the board is packaged and sent from the factory. The default may not be the setting you require but it is instead a common setting used by many installations. The installer must consult with the engineering staff that controls the operation of the drive to know how to set the jumpers. The engineering staff must also know the options available with the jumpers.

To move a jumper, use your thumb and index finger to gently pull up on the jumper. Then, align the jumper with the pins you want to cover and gently insert the jumper on the pins.
